A slap in the face

Today was a horrible today for me. Work was ok but putting up with a sore mouth isn't all that great, i need to make an appointment to see the dentist...dont want to go!!!

On the other hand, there is nothing like being asked "How many weeks pregnant are you"? (she rubbed my belly while asking me) I was so angry when this person asked me this, i said to her that i am not pregnant and i will never go there again. She just laughed at me and said yeh right, whens the baby due!!!

Oh well i guess i need to lose alote more weight than just another 2.3kgs...

Off to take some painkillers for this sore mouth and then to bed!!!

Sick family members

I have had two sick family members over the past week. My sister has been told by her surgeon that she has to have her gall bladder taken out on the 17th May at Blacktown hospital.
She has lost a total of 17.4kgs in a period of 9 weeks and the Dr advised her that this may have trigered off small gall stones. she is in constant pain and will be on pain killers till her operation.

That was one family member!!

Owen, is the other family member, just when we thought we wouldn't have a rough time in the colder months with him since having his grommets put in...Well it all started on Friday night, at 2am with him coughing his lungs up. I recognised the cough from last winter and it was Croup. I have the medication that they give to them when you take them to the hospital, but i did not know how much to give him so i called the westmead childrens hospital help line, they weren't allowed to give me that information over the phone. After about 3 hours of him being awake coughing and crying we managed to get him back to sleep. Darren then took him to the Dr's on Saturday morning and they gave him the measurments of medicine to give to him that night if the croup got worse again, which it did. Last night was the first time that he has slept through till at least 5.15am without a coughing fit. He is on the mend thankfully. I don't know how many more sleepless nights we could go through, it starts taking it toll on every one in the family...

4.3kgs down & 2.8kgs to go!!

It has been 9 weeks since starting my weight loss plan. I have lost weight gradually, they say slow and steady wins the race..well i can honestly say i am feeling great in myself and all my clothes are to big for me, even some of my size 10 pants.
I really haven't changed to much of what i was doing eating wise but i guess you could say i eat smaller portions and a little more often and drink alot more water (4 600mls a day), i haven't been able to walk over the past couple of weeks because of my knee, but it has started to feel alot better now that i am going to physio and he is taping it, my knee cap is out of place and needs to be pulled back into line..That's what the taping is for.

This winter has been the first winter in about 8 years that i have been able to buy a pair of nice winter boots, i have had issues trying to get my calves into them as they are to big (still), the boots i have brought are a slip on pair and are very comfortable. It feels good to be able to buy things like that.

I was very happy last Tuesday as i had made it under 60kgs before my birthday.

Alot of people have commented at how much better i look (will post a photo later) i don't feel like a big pregnant woman any more, my baby belly is all but gone. When i start walking again tomorrow (once i get the all clear from the physio) the weight should keep coming off a little faster than what it has been so i am praying to be down to 56kgs before mothers day..Not long to go...only 2.8kgs to go and i'll be at my goal weight.
