I had been feeling a little fat over the past couple of weeks so i had thought about taking the plunge and join weight watchers. I joined on Wednesday last week and weighed in at 63.6kgs and i was 58kgs before starting work back in May last year.
I have been sticking the a diet and also walking for 30 mins around my area each morning with my lovely next door neighbour. If i didn't have someone to walk with i don't think i would have lasted the week. I am a little nervous about being weighed on Wednesday night as i don't want to be disappointed that i haven't lost anything. i do feel as though i have lost a little though which is great.
I mentioned to DH this morning that the hills on my walk did not feel as hard as they were last week so i must be getting used to them..woo hoo..
Have been told by someone that i really shouldn't become obsessed with WW as it is a load of Sh*t and it won't work...Well i am going to prove this person wrong and stick to it and get down to my goal weight which is 56kgs. I want to be wearing a bikini at Christmas time instead of those ugly two piece singlet top and bottoms...not my thing by xmas...I have a long way to go before then though but i'll get there.

My Valentines Day
We did not celebrate valentines day on Thursday as i had to work till 9pm. Darren had organised for his mum to look after the boys on Friday night so we could spend a few hours having dinner.
What he did was, he arrived at my work on Friday afternoon with a bunch of roses, then he told me that we were going out for dinner but he wasn't going to tell me where were going. We drove along the M5 through the tunnel and he took the wrong turn off..(good on him) so we turned around and made our way back towards Brighton, we went to the Brighton RSL for dinner in the fishos Resturant which was just lovely it was looking over the water with lots of boats. Once dinner was over we drove down to Brighton Beach and took a walk along the beach which was just lovely. After our walk we went back to the car and he pulled out a blanket, and a bottle of chapmaine ( my favourite champaine i might add) and we sat together and watched the planes taking off and coming in from various places. We kept saying i wonder where that one is going...The planes are so magical just they way the take off.
Once it got to cold we decided to go home, so we went back to the in-laws to pick up the boys and head off home.
On Saturday morning he even let me sleep in till 7am it was lovely.

R.I.P Nanna Brodie
It has been a long time comming as Nanna had been so frail for a very long time. Each time she got sick should would always surprise everyone and bounce back, but not this time. She was taken to Manly hospital on Friday with Phnemonia, she was ok until Sunday morning the Dr told FIL that one of Nanna's lungs was collapsing and it was not looking good for her. Darren did go and visit her yesterday as he knew that it was going to be the last time he would see his nanna.
The Drs only gave her hours, we didnt really expect to much more from her as she was just so sick.
I will always remember nanna as this lovely little lady with her beautiful white curly hair. She would always put on a little bit of foundation and lipstick if she knew someone was comming to visit her and even on her worst days she would do this.
We will all miss you very much Nanna, i hope you have finally made it to be with your husband who you have missed for a very long time..

Online studying mums groups
I have been surfing the net to try and find an online studying mums group..You know how many there..................NONE i can not find one...
My baby is growing up
The time has now come to put Owen (my baby) into a big boys bed. We went out on Tuesday to buy a bed for him. We pick it up tomorrow morning. He turns 2 next month.
This is a sad moment for me as i can not believe that he is growing up and can't stay a baby for ever..well he hasn't been a baby for a while he's now a toddler!!
today is going to be spent at home, i have been out every day this week and i am not leaving the house unless i have to..it's also going to be a very hot day. Hopefully Darren will be home early enough to take the boys for a swim in the pool this afternoon.
I called up about swimming lessons for Owen yesterday, the lady who does it is a friend of my MIL and she has done wonders with Lachlan so i have alot of faith in this lady..it's going to cost us $300 a term for both kids but hey, it's only money right??
off to go and start cleaning up this place....

TAFE Results
I arrived home on Saturday 5th Jan to find my TAFE results for my hairdressing apprenticeship. I was very excited when i opened them up to find that i had got distinctions/credits & passes..
I was never really good in school all those years ago but i seem to be cruising through my TAFE course at the moment...
I was told by a friend to follow my dreams and i will do well..That is exactly what i have done and i have proven to myself that i can do it if i put my heart & mind to it...
thank you to all have had faith in me it means a great deal to me.

Family holiday, Shoalhaven Heads
Saturday 22/12/07 (Day 1)
Today was the day we left to go on holidays down to Shoalhaven Heads for 2 weeks. Darren went down early this morning to set up the campsite (will add photos later), while i took the to Nanna & pas for the day as i had to work. I finished work at around 3.30pm. When i arrived to pick up Lachlan & Owen, Lachlan was so excited and say "Lets go camping now mummy"! He couldn't get in the car fast enough.
They both fell asleep by the time i hit Revesby. The drive was a little quiet for me but it was nice not to have two screaming children in the car. We arrived at the campiste at 6.30pm to find that Darren had cooked dinner for us so we didn't have to buy take away on the way down.
He also made sure that he had some Breezers in the fridge for me..Isn't he a good man!!
Lachlan had decided to ride Owen's little push along bike dragging his feet along the ground and tore holes in his shoes, so had to go and buy some new ones.
Sunday 22/12/07 (Day 2)
Was a very early morning, alot earlier than when we are at home 5am with Lachlan needing to go to the toilet, and not going back to sleep because it was so daylight and the birds were making alot of noise.
We had a lovely breakfast as a family, bacon & eggs on the BBQ. We spent a couple of hours in Nowra. We came back and had a bite to eat and then headed down to the beach for a while, the boys loved it, well Owen would not walk on the sand he hates it!!!
Once we had finished dinner i had to leave to head back to Sydney as i had to work on the Monday (Christmas eve). I arrived at my in-laws place around 8.30pm, gave dad a haircut. We watched a really stupid movie (think it was call The perfect Day), it was one of those stupid movies that you just had to watch you just needed to knw what was going to happen in the end. Went to bed at 11pm alot later than i would normally.
Monday 24/12/07 (Day 3 CHRISTMAS EVE!!)
Woke to a txt msg from Darren asking me to call him as he was still down at Shoalhaven heads.
Got up and got myself organised for work, put all the presents in the car as i had left them at the in-laws place so the boys wouldn't see them.
Arrived at work at 8.15am and was run off my feet till about 3.30pm when we finished for the holidays. I stopped off at bunnings to pick up some christmas lights to go around our tent.
The boys spent the day with daddy, Nanny, poppy, Auntie Bec & Damian down at the beach and the swimming pool.
Today was the day that Lachlan had learnt to ride his push bike, he has had this bike for over 12 months and has finally learn to ride it..He's a big boy now!!
We managed to get all 3 boys (Lachlan, Owen & Damian) into bed by 8.30pm. We started to organise all the presents for the boys as Santa was comming tonight!! All the present were under the tree that mum had organised from home. I felt as though my boys didn't have as many presents as Damian as my sister went crazy with presents for him.
There is a couple in a caravan on the site next to mum & dad, Norma & Robert, Robert had agreed to play santa for the boys on Xmas morning.
25/12/07 (Day 4 CHRISTMAS DAY!!)
My boys woke at 6.30am to Santa calling out HO HO HO Merry Christmas. Santa made a special trip back to our campsite all the way from the North Pole as he had forgotten to leave the boys Santa stockings, they boys were very excited to see Santa and to see all the presents. (i do have all this on video).
Christmas morning wasn't as i had hoped for, they boys were so overwhelmed by it all and it was all about Damian and no one else. Next year we have decided to Christmas at home. My boys did do very well, lachlan got a scooter and heaps more & Owen got a little bike from Nanny & Poppy.
I got some clothes, the new Delta Goodrem CD (i love it) and a pandora charm bracelet. We had a champaine breaky with Bacon & eggs before we left to go to Sydney for the day.We arrived at the Brodie's place around 11.30am, the boy were very excited to see Nanna, pa, Auntie Jo & Uncle Jimmie. they also did very well with presents. We had such a wonderful day that we didn't leave until 9pm to head back down the coast to the campsite.

All up early, Darren left to go fishing at about 4.30am and i was woken by Lachlan at 5.30am wanting to go to the toilet. Spent a few hours organising the tent and getting the boys their breakfast before we got the call from Darren so the boys could go out in the boat, something Lachlan has been waiting for, for days now. My sister and i went into Nowra to get a few things, i wanted to get a book as i was feeling a little bored a few times over the past couple of days.
We spent a few hours at the beach and the swimming pool.
Today was the first day that the ice-cream truck came around was nice to have one and the boys loved it also..(will add photos later again).
Thursday 27/12/07 (Day 6)
All the days see to be rolling into one at the moment. Our day was spend either at the beach or the swmming pool. We have been lucky to only have a few showers on xmas eve & xmas day, every other day has been hot and sunny.
Friday 28/12/07 (Day 7)
Darren went out fishing again, i took the boys down for a ride in the boat around 8.30am. I can back and organised the tent again!!! Once they had finished we went to the beach for about 2 hours, at this stage Owen is finally starting to walk on the sand and go down to the waters edge but he won't let go of your hand though..

The morning was spent at the beach again and the afternoon at the swimming pool. We have to watch Owen near the water he is becoming a dare devil. We have decided that swimming lessons for him next term is a must. Owen loves the water and when we are ready to come home he cries because he doesn't want to get out. Lachlan on the other hand we just can't get him out of the water.
We had ice-cream once dinner was over with. Darren & my dad had a few to many drinks and didn't go to bed until 12am...
Sunday 30/12/07 (Day 9)
Was woken early by the people across the road from us making alot of noise (4.30am) and they managed to wake the boys, was not happy that's for sure!!
Mum had organised to go and visit Auntie Tina today she lives 14kms from Batemans bay. She had a fall back in September and smashed her ankle. She has had a really bad infection in her leg and she said if it has gone between the bone and plate that is making her ankly bone her leg will have to be amputated just below the knee. thankfully the infection has not made it between the plate and bone and she will keep her leg.
I was very tired driving back to shoalhaven on my own as the boys slept all the way back and it was a 2.5 hour drive.
Lachlan was in bed by 7.30pm but 5 mins later the ice-cream truck came around, Lachlan had been asking for one all day so we really couldnt say no, so we got them up and they had their ice-cream and back to bed. within 5 mins of being in bed both of them had crashed sound asleep.
